Techint Engineering and Construction, developed a compression station for the South of Texas-Tuxpan pipeline. This project included engineering, supply and construction of the compression station in the Port of Altamira, Tamaulipas, as well as its accesses and roads.

Specialized heavy machinery was used such as motor grader, all terrain tractor, backhoe excavator, front loader, excavators and water tanks. The process includes soil preparation up to layering of sub-base, base and access roads, using geotextile for surface stabilization, drainage, filtering and cushioning, as well as a cellular confinement system to back up the ground, increasing the weight capacity.
